Capital Edge is a consulting firm dedicated exclusively to investment banking in the real estate sector in Romania. Our business is divided into two divisions: investment banking and principal investments. The company’s strategy is based on a business model that combines investment banking (debt and equity), principal investment and the experience and expertise of our people.
Our objective is to build value for our clients comprising major real estate developers and investors, by providing tailored investment banking services to their businesses, as well as providing principal investment for projects in the sector.
The company’s most valuable assets are our private and institutional client relationships and our people. We believe that continuity is the name of the game in this business; therefore we like to always take a long term approach to our client relationships, which in essence will deliver superior returns to our clients and to our business. This long term approach derives from the real estate project finance advisory and our principal investments business, which by its nature has a longer term horizon than seen within purely transaction-oriented investment banking businesses.
Our local operations bring together an in-depth understanding of the fast developing real estate industry in our target geography and extensive transaction experience gained in the leading investing, professional services, investment banking and institutional securities firms globally.
We are able to participate as principal investors and therefore as partners and shareholders alongside our clients to whom we offer our investment banking services, enabling us to provide on going financial structuring and advisory services over the lifetime of a real estate development project. In this manner we therefore maximise our value added by aligning our interests with the long term interests of our client partners essentially by being co-shareholders in and/or providers of funding to their ventures. We also provide assistance and support to our clients and partners in diversify their shareholdings in real estate developments either through a direct total or partial sale to sector developers or financial investors.

Investment Banking Advisory
Our investment banking business provides financial structuring and debt and equity raising advisory services to clients developing real estate projects in Romania. The investment banking activities focus predominantly, although are not limited to, residential, commercial, industrial and office space real estate development. On case by case basis the company can undertake a project globally and package it so that the client is provided with integrated services like: site securing, property leasing, zoning arrangements, architecture and project advisory all the above being subcontracted the company’s affiliates.
Principal Investments
For some of the projects that the company has undertaken, situations arise that an equity partner is needed in order to complete a transaction. We take on a case by case basis share participations in a number of key projects for which we also provide investment banking services.
